Joseph Tauber, M.D.
A graduate of Harvard Medical School, Dr. Tauber is a board certified ophthalmologist with double fellowship training in the treatment and surgery of corneal diseases, refractive surgery and ocular immunology.
- One of the original investigators of the excimer laser
- One of the first surgeons to perform laser vision correction in the United States
- As a cornea specialist, he is uniquely qualified to perform LASIK surgery
- His colleagues often call upon him to consult on difficult cases and help manage complications of these procedures
In addition, Dr. Tauber is a nationally recognized authority on the treatment of dry eyes. Tauber Eye Center offers the most current testing and treatment of dry eye available anywhere. Dr. Tauber is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, Kansas City Society of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology, Midwest Corneal Society and the Castroviejo Society.
Crystal Remington, OD, FAAO
Dr. Remington is a residency trained optometrist with emphasis in cornea and contact lens fitting and primary care.
Dr. Remington has experience with advanced contact lens fitting including sclerals, hybrids, rigid gas permeables, multifocals and torics. She has a special interested in dry eye disease and the importance of patient centered care. Dr. Remington is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
Dr. Remington has joined Tauber Eye Center in 2017 to continue to specialize in contact lenses and offer the most current testing and treating of dry eyes.
